A Louisiana native, Ronnie DeGray has built a stellar reputation in the Colorado youth basketball community of integrity, competence, competition and trust. As one of the founders of Trinity SAS (a youth basketball and educational organization), Mr. DeGray has distinguished himself as a basketball and education enthusiast. As a Head Coach for Trinity SAS, Mr. DeGray’s teams have achieved the following:
- 2nd place: 2009 AAU Super Regional (11 year old team)
- 2nd place: 2009 MAYB Tournament in Colorado Springs (6th grade)
- 1st place: 2009 MAYB Denver, CO. 1st Place, 5th Grade Div
- 1st place: 2009 AAU West Coast National Championship, Las Vegas, NV (11 year olds)
- 2008 Fall Jam League 6th grade NIT champions
- 2008 MAYB Thornton, Champions
- 2008 MAYB Csprings, 2nd place
- 2008 Denton Showcase, Denton Texas, JV division 3rd place
- 2008 City of Denver Competitive League, 1st place 8th grade boys
After being named a Junior College All-American and considering several scholarship offers, Mr. DeGray accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Colorado at Boulder where he played with NBA All-Star Chauncey Billups and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1998. After graduating, Mr. DeGray played professional basketball in Europe for six (6) years in various leagues. He averaged 19 points/game and 9 rebounds/game and holds the record for number of rebounds in one game with 19.
