A native of Boulder, Colorado, Elton Davis is an Assistant Coach of the 6th Grade Elite Team.
Mr. Davis has more than a decade of coaching experience in youth sports at various levels including middle and high school. Mr. Davis focuses on work ethic, team work, and knowledge of the game. Mr. Davis’ teams have earned championships in the MAYB tournament in 2009 (7th grade), JAM Spring League in 2009 (7th grade), and AAU tournament in Denver (8th grade). His teams have also been runner-ups in the JAM Fall League in 2009 (9th grade) and Denver Parks and Recreation League in 2010 (7th/8th grade).
For nine years, Mr. Davis has been a varsity assistant basketball coach at Boulder High School (“BHS”) both the boys and girls teams. He has also been a varsity assistant for the BHS football team for nine years. He is also one of the founders (along with Ronnie DeGray and Carlos Daniel) of Trinity SAS, a highly-successful academic and athletic organization in Denver. In addition, Mr. Davis directs a college prep program that provides academic assistance to high school students.
Prior to his professional career, Mr. Davis distinguished himself as a student-athlete at Boulder High School. Mr. Davis excelled in both football and basketball. As a senior, Elton was a Blue Chip, Prep Football Report, and SuperPrep All-American. The subject of an intense national Division 1 recruiting battle that included the University of Michigan, Texas, UCLA, Penn State, and USC, Mr. Davis chose the University of Colorado at Boulder. He had a great athletic career at CU and received his Bachelor’s degree in communication. Later, he played professional football in the European American Football Association, the Indoor Football League, and the Arena 2 Football League.
